Birthday Suit is produced by me in my workspace in Brooklyn. I strive to make everything with repurposed and found materials, but you will notice some made-to-order garments are made with new stock fabrics.

Products can be put into two categories: Ready to Ship (RTS) and Made to Order (MTO).

RTS items include one-of-a-kind upcycles of vintage goods as well as limited runs of soft home goods. They’re perfect to buy as a birthday gift or a personality piece to add to your wardrobe or home.

MTO is a slower, more intentional process. I’ll start by gathering your measurements and finalize any finishing touches with you, like patching or hemming. From there, production can take between 2–3 weeks. MTO garments are investment pieces that have become staples in my own closet.

  • Join the wait list! For MTO pieces, I’ll reach out to you directly when you’re at the top of the list. For RTS, you’ll be notified when the item is back in stock.

  • If I reach out to you about a MTO piece, you’ll have 5 days to opt in. After that, I’ll move onto the next person in line and remove you from the waitlist. You can rejoin at any time.

  • You can use a piece of string to take your measurements and then find a ruler to measure the length of the string. If you don’t have access to string, you can list sizes you wear from your favorite brands.

  • RTO items will be sent within one week. You can expect to wait 2–4 weeks for MTO pieces to ship.

  • Signs of wear are inevitable when creating with pre-owned goods. While I avoid using pieces with distracting or obvious stains, fading and signs of wear are inevitable. Pieces with more noticeable stains will be sold at a discount with imperfections noted in the description.

  • The designs featured on my website are the pieces currently available. While I don’t recreate garments from other sources, I do welcome custom inquiries. If you have a specific idea in mind—such as contributing your own garment or commissioning a variation of a one-of-a-kind design—please feel free to fill out the interest form.

  • If you’d like to skip shipping, select ‘Local Pick Up’ when you place your order and I’ll reach out to arrange a time to meet. Pick-up appointments are available on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10am in Herbert Von King Park.
